Location & Facility |
The Alexander Technical Center is located on the Griffin, Georgia Airport (6A2) just 45 minutes south of Atlanta International Airport. The facility consists of a complete sheet metal shop, paint shop, welding workshop, composite repair area, and a 10,000 sq ft hangar. Abaris Training, a composite repair training company, also has a complete training facility within our building. In addition, 3 rooms are available within the building for nightly rental. The rate is $25 per night. This will allow aircraft builders to stay in the building and work on their airplane without having to travel to a hotel each day. RV hookups (electrical only) are also available at $8 per day.
Located on the Griffin Airport is a professional paint shop, an engine overhaul facility, a seat belt company, and a DAR who can inspect your airplane. Aircraft Spruce is also nearby for parts that you may need. Atlanta Air Salvage, a used aircraft part service, is located near the airport. This location is central to virtually every service you will need to build an airplane.
